DATE: 06/05/11The juvenile college's hurlers recorded an historic semi-final victory against Heartstown CC of Blanchardstown in Trinity Gaels GAA grounds on Friday afternoon last. With a real sense of purpose and commitment about their play, Grange's players tore into the Heartstown defence in the second half and registered three well taken goals and three points from play within the first fifteen minutes of the second half. Playing against what was a very strong breeze; Grange's defence stood tall and knocked down many very dangerous balls which were driven in by the Heartstown defence and centerfield players. With time running out however, Grange managed to win some vital puck-outs around centerfield and with a good score line built up, three goals of which were fabulous strikes by Hagan, Hewelt and Quigley, Grange ran out comfortable and worthy winners by two goals.
