Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) at Grange CC

Today TY  students paid a visit to DCU’s Lego® Education Innovation Studio (LEIS) and they got to build their own robots and control them using LEGO MINDSTORMS® technology. Thanks to Ross Maguire, head instructor for his fabulous insightful, motivating introduction to our students. We also like to thank Rob and Niamh who had there hands full with our boys and girls wanting to show off their talents in building and programming the robots.

Students have completed workshop one. Students got to work in teams and understand what is teamwork; helping to improve communication skills, develop necessary skills to problem solve even the most simplist challenge and become creative with their thinking. They got to control their robot and got it to complete basic tasks around a track. 

Students can’t wait for next weeks workshop challenge!!
