Transition Year

Transition Year is a distinct one year programme taken after the Junior Cycle and before the two-year Leaving Certificate Programme. Transition Year offers students a wide educational experience and provides students with the opportunity to take greater responsibility for their own learning and decision making.

Our Transition Year students participate in learning experiences which are both active and experiential covering the key programme areas of: Career Exploration, Being a Learner, Civic & Community Engagement, Personal Growth. In doing so, students develop a broad range of critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills.
